Greetings to all lo-bit lovers!
I have abstained from releasing my chiptune works in lo-bit format so far, because I always felt it didn't make a very good combination sound-wise. Now that has changed, thanks to the recently released Opus codec. Developed by Xiph.org (with help from Skype and Mozilla), Opus aims to succeed Vorbis and Speex. Like Vorbis, Opus is entirely open source.
Hearing tests show that Opus produces significantly better results than any other audio codec, including AAC+. The codec is highly versatile, with possible bitrates ranging from 6 - 510 kbps. Opus uses the Ogg container format.

About the Music
This music was composed for the Atari ST home computer and its three-channel YM2149 soundchip, using MusicMon 2.5d and Project Ymer.
The tracks are pure soundchip recordings, with no aftereffects applied whatsoever. The tracks were made between 2009 and 2012.
Btw - this is quite likely to be the world's very first Opus music release, and it's floppy-sized ;)
